Reiki is an alternative therapy practice that originated in Japan and focuses on clearing our chakras. Although Reiki is of Japanese origin, the concept of chakras themselves, originated in India.  Within us are seven chakras; the Crown, Third Eye, Throat, Heart, Solar Plexus, Sacral, and Root. They are wheels of energy that are connected to our emotions and physical body. When a chakra is blocked, it causes emotional stress which has the potential to lead to physical illness. Reiki helps clear our chakras, making it easier to release negative energies and aid the body with the healing process.
